Tearlaments

Yuuto (悠斗) went 6-1-1 and finished 1st in “Sapporo Yugi CS” (3v3 Team) which had 27 teams (81 participants).

Tearlaments Rulkallos and Tearlaments Scream are 2 new cards from the latest booster set Darkwing Blast that have been incorporated into Tearlaments deck build.

Tearlaments Rulkallos is a new Fusion Monster whose effect can negate the activation of a card or effect that includes Special Summoning a monster(s), giving Tearlaments another disruptive threat.

Tearlaments Scream is a new Continuous Spell that could send the top 3 cards from deck to graveyard when a monster is Normal or Special Summoned while you control a Tearlaments monster. This is useful in the Tearlaments mirror match for providing additional avenue to send cards from deck to graveyard without benefiting the opponent.

Spright Sprind in the Extra Deck provides the option to send Tearlaments Merrli from deck to graveyard.

Spright

GenGen went 6-1 and finished 2nd in “17th Wayo CS (3v3 Team Tournament)” which had 19 teams (57 participants).

Spright Sprind and Spright Double Cross are 2 new cards from the latest booster set Darkwing Blast that have been incorporated into Spright deck build.

Spright Sprind is a new Link Monster. It could send Nimble Angler from deck to graveyard, whose Trigger Effect would then Special Summon 2 Nimble Beaver from deck.

Spright Double Cross is a new Trap card with a monster removal effect. Taking control of the opponent’s Kashtira Fenrir makes for a massive advantage swing.

Archnemeses Eschatos has a similar effect as Archnemeses Protos, but it affects Monster Type instead of Monster Attribute. Archnemeses Eschatos effect is useful for destroying Tearlaments Rulkallos, then locking out Aqua monsters from being Special Summoned until the end of the next turn, effectively preventing Tearlaments Rulkallos from reviving itself. Archnemeses Eschatos is a Dragon monster and could be added to hand from deck or graveyard by the effect of Bystial Magnamhut.

Conclusion

Tearlaments stayed in the lead, but Spright is coming up from behind with a bigger share.

In addition to the new support for Tearlaments and Spright, Darkwing Blast also came with Kashtira Fenrir, Bystial Magnamhut and Bystial Druiswurm, 3 new powerful generic cards that have seen widespread play in the competitive scene.

Kashtira Fenrir has a removal effect that target 1 face-up card your opponent controls and banish it face-down. It could be Special Summon from hand while you control no monsters, allowing it to be Special Summoned on the first turn and function as a disruption. Kashtira Fenrir also comes with an effect that adds another copy of Kashtira Fenrir from deck to hand.

Bystial Magnamhut and Bystial Druiswurm have a graveyard disruption effect that banish 1 LIGHT or DARK monster in the graveyard then Special Summon itself, and is a Quick Effect while the opponent controls a monster. In the current metagame, they are useful for disrupting Tearlaments monsters’ graveyard effect. After Bystial Magnamhut is Special Summoned, it could add another Dragon monster such as Bystial Druiswurm from deck or graveyard to hand during the End Phase.

What do lists for Exosister look like? Trying to get a good idea for the tcg. I know I will have to replace maxx c with something, I don’t know what though. Also not having pot of prosperity hurts, but I sadly can’t afford a set atm. It’s at 3 in the TCG still.
