Tearlaments
Calvin Ang (2014 Asia Champion, World Championship 2014 Singapore Representative) went 9-0-1 and finished 1st in “Duelist Cup 2022 Singapore” which had 156 participants.
In the Ishizu Tearlaments mirror match, activating Kelbek the Ancient Vanguard and Agido the Ancient Sentinel ② effect is risky as they send cards from deck to graveyard for both players. That Grass Looks Greener provides an different avenue to send cards from deck to graveyard safely without benefiting the opponent. However, as not to dilute the odds of sending Tearlaments from deck to graveyard, the deck size is fixed at around 48 – 50, just to be able to mill around 8 – 10 cards against a standard 40 – 42 deck size opponent.
Spright
Tan Jia Heng went 6-2 and finished 5 – 8th in “Duelist Cup 2022 Singapore” which had 156 participants.
Appointer of the Red Lotus functions similarly to Solemn Judgment in the Side Deck, mainly to stop the opponent from breaking your opening board. The biggest advantage of Appointer of the Red Lotus is being able to pick off The Winged Dragon of Ra – Sphere Mode, Lava Golem and Kaiju monsters. Looking at the opponent’s hand also makes it easier to plan your negation, such as activating Spright Starter to Special Summon the appropriate Spright Red or Spright Carrot.
However, revealing cards in your hand is part of the activation cost for Appointer of the Red Lotus, so you will have to keep at least 1 card in hand to be able to activate it.
Exosister
Tan Yi Hong went 7-2 and finished 3 – 4th in “Duelist Cup 2022 Singapore” which had 156 participants.
Raigeki is a popular board clear in the current metagame, being able to take out Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir and Dragon Buster Destruction Sword, and is seeing high usage in the Side Deck and even Main Deck.
Conclusion
Ishizu Tearlaments continues to dominate, while Spright and Exosister follows behind.
Alpha, the Master of Beasts and Dinowrestler Pankratops are also popular Side Deck in this metagame, being able to take out El Shaddoll Winda and Dragon Buster Destruction Sword. Alpha, the Master of Beasts effect does not target the opponent’s monsters, but choose which to return during the resolution, and thus is able answer Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax or monsters that Spright Elf is pointing to.

I really want to see that Ishizu Necroface Deck 🙂
Found it! Took me quite a bit of digging through the refs. It’s in pic #4 here: https://twitter.com/YGOOZCS/status/1543550797828718593
I think you’ve missed one splight mysterune list in the second bilibili link
Lots of Tearalaments builds don’t even play Ash, how do they do against Maxx C?
They have called by and orange light to negate maxx “c”. Other than that, they can play conservatively to only allow a minimum amount of draws and play on their opponent’s turn and/or their following turn.
I wanted to ask if you will still cover the master duel meta for tournaments?
Hey can some1 explain what the reason is for virus Talker (don’t know the correct name) in the extra? 😅
Codebreaker Virus Swordsman is one of the only two Link-2 monsters that are unaffected by Bagooska and can destroy it by battle (the other is Cyber Dragon Sieger, but Virus Swordsman is more generic, as it can be made from only 2 Effect Monsters)
Bagooska is a card used to counter Fusion (Tearlament) and Xyz (Exosister) oriented decks
its an link-2 that can atk over Number 41
Ahhh. Thx guys 😀
Road of the king for TCG, please.
When have no ex md declist 🙁
I would loveeee to see the Ishizu Tearalements Madolche list
