Rescue-ACE

Takotsubo (たこつぼ) went 7-0-1 and finished 1st in “12th Shuto CS (Team Tournament)” which had 24 teams (72 participants).

He ran 1 Infernoble Knight Ricciardetto in the Main Deck as an option that could be Special Summoned with Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye. Infernoble Knight Ricciardetto is a Level 1 FIRE Tuner Monster that is useful for Synchro Summoning Baronne de Fleur. Infernoble Knight Ricciardetto ① effect could Special Summon a Level 4 or or lower FIRE Warrior monster from your hand as a Tuner. Rescue-ACE Air Lifter is a Level 4 FIRE Warrior monster and Rescue-ACE Impulse is a Level 3 FIRE Warrior monster that could be Special Summoned as a Tuner, allowing them to be used with the Level 6 Rescue-ACE Fire Attacker or Level 7 Rescue-ACE Fire Engine to Synchro Summon Baronne de Fleur.

When Infernoble Knight Ricciardetto is Normal or Special Summoned, its ② effect could be activated to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower FIRE Warrior monster from the graveyard such as Rescue-ACE Air Lifter or Rescue-ACE Impulse, but only Warrior monsters could be Special Summoned for the rest of the turn. S:P Little Knight and Baronne de Fleur are Warrior monsters and they could still be Special Summoned after using Infernoble Knight Ricciardetto ② effect. Rescue-ACE Machine monsters just have to be Special Summoned before using Infernoble Knight Ricciardetto ② effect and they could be used as Link and Synchro Materials.

Purrely

kigremo went 7-0 (excluding 1 bye) and finished 1st in “27th RAM Cup Individual Tournament” which had 80 participants.

S:P Little Knight has allowed Rescue-ACE to play around ‘hand traps’ that negates Monster Effect such as Effect Veiler and Infinite Impermanence, and to minimize the impact of Evenly Matched, but only to a certain extent.

If Rescue-ACE Turbulence effect is activated as Chain 1, and the opponent responds with Effect Veiler or Infinite Impermanence and targets Rescue-ACE Turbulence as Chain 2, then S:P Little Knight effect could be activated as Chain 3 and target itself and Rescue-ACE Turbulence. Resolving the Chain, S:P Little Knight and Rescue-ACE Turbulence would be banished until the End Phase, then Effect Veiler or Infinite Impermanence would lose their target and not resolve, finally Rescue-ACE Turbulence would resolve successfully to Set up to 4 “Rescue-ACE” Quick-Play Spells / Normal Traps.

However, in this case, the opponent could activate Effect Veiler or Infinite Impermanence immediately on Rescue-ACE Turbulence‘s summon before its Ignition Effect could be activated. Then Rescue-ACE Preventer, EMERGENCY! or RESCUE! would be needed to summon another Rescue-ACE Turbulence.

If the opponent activates Evenly Matched, then S:P Little Knight effect could be activated in a chain to banish itself and another monster. S:P Little Knight and the other monster would return during the End Phase. A good choice to banish is Baronne de Fleur which has used its negation effect. Baronne de Fleur negation effect can only be activated once while face-up on the field, banishing and returning Baronne de Fleur would reset it, allowing its negation effect to be activated again on the next turn.

As such, Purrely has started running The Winged Dragon of Ra – Sphere Mode or Lava Golem in the Side Deck as a more reliable method to break Rescue-ACE’s board.

Tearlaments

Rafu (ラフ) went 4-1-1 and finished 2nd in “2nd Fukuoka YP Cup (3v3 Team Tournament)” which had 16 teams (48 participants).

Visas Samsara is a new Level 4 Tuner from Age of Overlord, and it is a 1-card starter that could go into Chaos Ruler, the Chaotic Magical Dragon and The Zombie Vampire. Visas Samsara card name becomes Visas Starfrost while on field or in the graveyard, allowing it to be used to Link Summon Scareclaw Light-Heart and Special Summon Vicious Astraloud.

Normal Summon Visas Samsara, and use it to Link Summon Scareclaw Light-Heart. Scareclaw Light-Heart effect adds Primitive Planet Reichphobia from deck to hand, then activate it and add Scareclaw Reichheart from deck to hand. Special Summon Scareclaw Reichheart from hand to the Main Monster Zone below Scareclaw Light-Heart. Scareclaw Reichheart effect adds Scareclaw Arrival from deck to hand, and activate it to Special Summon Visas Samsara from graveyard. Use Visas Samsara and Scareclaw Reichheart to Synchro Summon Chaos Ruler, the Chaotic Magical Dragon, and excavate the top 5 cards from deck. Banish Visas Samsara and Scareclaw Reichheart from graveyard to Special Summon Vicious Astraloud.

The common play is to use Chaos Ruler, the Chaotic Magical Dragon and Vicious Astraloud to Xyz Summon The Zombie Vampire, and send the top 4 cards from deck to graveyard.

The alternative play is to use Chaos Ruler, the Chaotic Magical Dragon, Vicious Astraloud and Scareclaw Light-Heart to Link Summon Curious, the Lightsworn Dominion. Curious, the Lightsworn Dominion effect would send a card from deck to graveyard, and that could be Kelbek the Ancient Vanguard or Agido the Ancient Sentinel. Then Chain 1 Curious, the Lightsworn Dominion effect to send top 3 from deck to graveyard, and Chain 2 Kelbek the Ancient Vanguard or Agido the Ancient Sentinel effect to send top 5 cards from each players’ deck to graveyard.

Conclusion

Rescue-ACE, Purrely and Tearlaments are at the top of this week, while Labrynth has taken a drop.

Rescue-ACE is in the lead, having more than double the tops than the next deck. All Rescue-ACE are running the Sinful Spoils package, but there are variations among the Extra Deck, namely the utility Link Monsters build, Auroradon build, or Terahertz build.

Tearlaments is a mishmash of various packages, namely Sinful Spoils, Horus, Visas, Adventurer and P.U.N.K..

Labrynth is all running the Furniture build, but there is a split between the standard build or the Unchained build.
