Duel Terminal – Preview Wave 1
The Blue-Eyes White Dragon from Duel Terminal Preview set is known to be one of the rarer Blue-Eyes among the collectors. This preview set was released in two waves – Wave 1 was released in 2008 and Wave 2 was released in 2009.
The Duel Terminal – Preview Wave 1 was rumored to consist of only Duel Terminal Normal Parallel Rare version of the cards. However, there are no photos of a common version of DTP1 Blue-Eyes White Dragon, which led us to an investigation regarding its existence.
Duel Terminal – Preview Wave 1
The Duel Terminal – Preview Wave 1 was released at the San Diego Comic-Con 2008 on 24 – 27 July 2008. An old Pojo thread created in 2008 had participants sharing photos of their experience at the Comic-Con: Duel Terminal – pics and play from Comic Con.
In this thread, Valon shared a couple of photos that they took at the Comic-Con, most notably the photo above of the Duel Terminal itself. They also shared scans of the Duel Terminal cards that they had obtained from the convention, and among those cards is a DTP1 Burst Stream of Destruction in Duel Terminal Rare Parallel Rare.
In the same thread, SummaNerd also shared their photos of a DTP1 Blue-Eyes White Dragon. The image quality is poor, but it could be vaguely made out that this Wave 1 copy of Blue-Eyes White Dragon is indeed a Duel Terminal Super Parallel Rare.
On YouTube, jlh28532 had uploaded a video of the Duel Terminal in action at the Comic-Con: YuGiOh 5Ds Duel Terminal. In the video description, they shared a photo of the DTP1 Dark Magician in Duel Terminal Rare Parallel Rare.
These photos from 2008 are evident that cards from Duel Terminal – Preview Wave 1 came in the same rarity as those from Duel Terminal – Preview Wave 2.
Misinformation
Perhaps the misconception of Duel Terminal – Preview Wave 1 cards are only in Duel Terminal Normal Parallel Rare stemmed from the official Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Database.
On the database page for Duel Terminal – Preview Wave 1, the cards were not labelled with the respective SR or R icons, causing many to believe that all cards in Wave 1 were Duel Terminal Normal Parallel Rare.

Conclusion
Both Duel Terminal – Preview Wave 1 and Duel Terminal – Preview Wave 2 versions of DTP1 Blue-Eyes White Dragon are Duel Terminal Super Parallel Rare. There is no official release of DTP1 Blue-Eyes White Dragon in Duel Terminal Normal Parallel Rare.
