Strategy
Dogmatika Maximus and Nadir Servant are effects that send monsters from the Extra Deck to the graveyard. Similar to Nekroz Kaleidoscope, Dogmatika is able to take advantage of Extra Deck Monsters which have a Trigger Effect when sent to the graveyard or a Monster Effect that could be activated while it is in the graveyard.
Elder Entity N’tss, Wind Pegasus @Ignister, PSY-Framelord Omega are some of the useful choices that provides a removal effect.
The release of Shaddoll Schism from the same set has made Shaddoll a possible supplement. By sending El Shaddoll Apkallone from the Extra Deck to the graveyard, El Shaddoll Apkallone ③ effect can be used to add Shaddoll Schism from deck to hand. Then during the opponent’s turn, Shaddoll Schism could be used to Fusion Summon El Shaddoll Winda or El Shaddoll Construct by using Fusion Materials from the graveyard.
This will be illustrated in the following combos.
Combo 1: Nadir Servant
- Activate Nadir Servant, send El Shaddoll Apkallone from Extra Deck to graveyard, then add Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous from deck to hand.
- El Shaddoll Apkallone ③ effect, add Shaddoll Schism from deck to hand, then discard Shaddoll Schism.
- Normal Summon Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous.
- Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous ② effect, add Dogmatika Maximus from deck to hand.
- Dogmatika Maximus ① effect, banish El Shaddoll Apkallone from graveyard as cost, Special Summon itself from hand.
- Dogmatika Maximus ② effect, send El Shaddoll Construct and Titaniklad the Ash Dragon from Extra Deck to graveyard.
- El Shaddoll Construct ③ effect, add Shaddoll Schism from graveyard to hand.
- Set Shaddoll Schism from hand to Spell/Trap Zone.
- During the End Phase, Titaniklad the Ash Dragon ③ effect, add Dogmatika Fleurdelis, the Knighted from deck to hand.
- During the Opponent’s Main Phase, activate Shaddoll Schism, El Shaddoll Construct + Titaniklad the Ash Dragon → El Shaddoll Winda.
Combo 2: Aleister the Invoker + Nadir Servant
- Normal Summon Aleister the Invoker.
- Aleister the Invoker ② effect, add Invocation from deck to hand.
- Aleister the Invoker → Salamangreat Almiraj.
- Salamangreat Almiraj → Secure Gardna.
- Activate Invocation, Aleister the Invoker + Secure Gardna → Invoked Mechaba.
- Invocation ② effect, shuffle Invocation into deck, and add Aleister the Invoker from banished to hand.
- Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous ① effect, Special Summon itself from hand.
- Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous ② effect, add Dogmatika Maximus from deck to hand.

- During the Opponent’s Main Phase, activate Shaddoll Schism, El Shaddoll Apkallone + Titaniklad the Ash Dragon → El Shaddoll Winda.
Combo 3: Aleister the Invoker + Dogmatika Maximus + any 1 card

Discussion
Combo 1 is the core combo of using the Dogmatika components to perform the Shaddoll setup.
This basic opener creates 3 disruptions:
- Dogmatika Fleurdelis, the Knighted negates 1 Monster Effect
- El Shaddoll Winda restricts to 1 Special Summon per turn
- Shaddoll Schism sends 1 monster of the same attribute to the graveyard
Both Dogmatika Fleurdelis, the Knighted monster effect negation and Shaddoll Schism removal effect are non-targeting effects, making them on par with Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star when it comes to answering untargetable monsters like Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon.
Combo 2 is expanded upon Combo 1 by adding in the Invoked components. Since Dogmatika has a drawback of being unable to Special Summon from the Extra Deck after activating their effects, the trick is to perform the Fusion Summon of Invoked Mechaba first, and then follow up with the Dogmatika combo. Doing so puts a monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck on the field, enabling Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous to be Special Summoned from hand.
Combo 3 is a variation of Combo 2. Not opening with Nadir Servant meant that El Shaddoll Construct could not be sent from the Extra Deck to the graveyard to retrieve Shaddoll Schism. Thus another card has to be discarded after fetching Shaddoll Schism with El Shaddoll Apkallone effect.
These 2-card or 3-card combo creates 4 disruptions:
- Invoked Mechaba negates 1 Spell/Trap card or monster effect activation
- Dogmatika Fleurdelis, the Knighted negates 1 monster effect
- El Shaddoll Winda restricts to 1 Special Summon per turn
- Shaddoll Schism sends 1 monster of the same attribute to the graveyard
Shaddoll Schism could also be used to Fusion Summon El Shaddoll Construct, instead of El Shaddoll Winda. When El Shaddoll Construct is successfully summoned, its ① effect can be activated to send 1 Shaddoll card to the graveyard. This could be used as a tech against the opponent by running the appropriate Shaddoll monster – Shaddoll Dragon to destroy 1 Spell/Trap card, or Naelshaddoll Ariel to banish up to 3 cards from the graveyard.
Conclusion
Dogmatika Invoked has a very strong potential to be a top contender in the OCG 2020.04 format.
The basic opening combo is quite consistent with 3 Magical Meltdown, 1 Terraforming to fetch Aleister the Invoker, and 3 Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous, 3 Nadir Servant to fetch Dogmatika Maximus.
If Dogmatika Invoked becomes a regular in the competitive scene, then the mirror match is going to be quite a tricky match-up. Dogmatika Maximus becomes a double-edged sword as it also enables the opponent to take advantage of their Extra Deck Monsters Effects. Non-Dogmatika decks could also run Elder Entity N’tss and Predaplant Chimerafflesia in the Extra Deck just to get a free destruction effect and add a Super Polymerization to hand during the next Standby Phase.
Dogmatika could only get stronger as more Extra Deck Monsters with useful graveyard effects are released in the future, such as Fossil Warrior Skull Knight in Collection Pack 2020.

It’s nice seeing the newer sets having a bit of impact on the meta. But I’m more curious about that 3-axis synchro sneaking it’s way in. What even is that deck? Is there a place that explains a bit more about it? Hope I’m not bothering you with the random question.
3-Axis Synchro is basically a combo deck that runs a lot of Level 3 monsters to go into Cherubini. From there it will go into Linkross, Halqifibrax, Metal Marcher, Auroradon, and then spam the board with Synchro Monsters. Here is an example of their combo: https://twitter.com/hubby_megmeg646/status/1249443527026565120
Scary part about this, is these lists aren’t even refined yet.
Can you make a TCG version of this build or make a Synchro Deck?
