Snake-Eye

Many players are now running the 2nd copy of Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye in the Main Deck to improve access to Snake-Eye Ash.

A 2nd copy of Snake-Eye Oak could also be seen in some builds, used as follow-up play for the next turn. After using up Snake-Eye Ash and the 1st copy of Snake-Eye Oak in the opening combo when going first, the 2nd copy of Snake-Eye Oak would come in handy on the next turn to revive the currently limited Snake-Eye Ash. When going second, the 2nd copy of Snake-Eye Oak would be cut from the Main Deck and kept in the Side Deck.

Rushirushi (るしるし) went 5-1 (excluding 2 bye) and finished 9 – 15th in “Yu-Gi-Oh! Japan Championship 2024” which had 1288 participants.

Yubel

Fiendsmith’s Tract effect adds 1 LIGHT Fiend monster from deck to hand, and could be used as a toolbox by running LIGHT Fiend monster with various functions in the Side Deck.

Kuriphoton is an option that we have seen in earlier builds to use against Tenpai Dragon.

Majesty’s Fiend has also briefly saw some usage earlier on, mainly in “Yu-Gi-Oh! Area Championship 2024 Tokyo”, but has fall out of favor. Being able to Tribute Summon Majesty’s Fiend meant that your combo is going undisrupted and you are in a very good position, making Majesty’s Fiend a “win more” card.

Archfiend Eccentrick Pendulum Effect could destroy 1 Spell/Trap card on the field, while the Monster Effect could destroy 1 monster on the field. This is a useful option against the opponent’s floodgate.

Santa Claws is a Kaiju-like removal, an option against problematic monsters that are untargetable or indestructible.

Kondo Yuto “ガラム” went 9-1 (excluding 1 bye) and finished 2nd in “Yu-Gi-Oh! Japan Championship 2024” which had 1288 participants.

Tenpai Dragon

Running 1 Triple Tactics Thrust in the Main Deck is an interesting choice to fetch for Terraforming, which in turn would get the currently limited Sangen Summoning.

Harpie’s Feather Duster is another option that could be fetched with Triple Tactics Thrust and is vital Spell/Trap removal against Rescue-ACE and Yubel.

Punpun (ぷんぷん) went 7-1 and finished 9 – 15th in “Yu-Gi-Oh! Japan Championship 2024” which had 1288 participants.

Conclusion

Snake-Eye, Yubel and Tenpai Dragon remains as the top contenders for the early OCG 2024.07 format. A notable mention for Rescue-ACE as they overperformed in the “Asia WCQ 2024” and “Japan Championship 2024”. 3 Rescue-ACE made the Top 8 or better in each tournament, outperforming Snake-Eye where only 1 made the Top 8 in “Asia WCQ 2024” and none made out of the Top 16 in “Japan Championship 2024”.

Fiendsmith continues to have a strong presence in the metagame. 176 out of the 343 decks that topped in these 3 weeks were running the Fiendsmith package. With new Fiendsmith support cards in the upcoming Rage of the Abyss booster set, we could expect to see Fiendsmith have an even bigger impact in the format.

Im not entirely sure if its the correct list. plus, it looks very scuffed.

I did hope it would include a bigger Bystial package except for siding Druidswurm and Magnamhut, but I understand it, because OCG also has Bystial Lubellion limited, so you can’t really play Bystials as an engine in the OCG. But still thanks for sharing, always good to check what other Centur-Ion players are doing (that is a LOT of Centurion Synchros, damn!).
