Rescue-ACE

Rescue-ACE was only mildly affected by the OCG 2023.10 Limit Regulation with Rescue-ACE Air Lifter becoming Semi-Limited, and remains as a top contender in the new OCG 2023.10 format. Most players are running a second copy of Diabellstar the Black Witch to replace the third Rescue-ACE Air Lifter.

Among the 50 Sinful Spoils Rescue-ACE decks that topped in Week #1 and #2, 27 are running the Standard Link build, 19 are running the Auroradon build, 2 running Proxy F build, 1 running Ricciardetto build, and 1 running Terahertz build. The Standard Link build and the Auroradon build are the two best performing Rescue-ACE builds.

Super Polymerization is a popular tech card among Rescue-ACE builds. 16 of the Standard Link build and 1 Auroradon build are running Super Polymerization in the Main Deck or Side Deck.

adamaku finished 1st in “Liuwuzhimen Cards Weekly Tournament” which had 98 participants.

Shinobu (しのぶ) went 9-0 and finished 1st in “29th RAM Cup Individual Tournament (Omori Venue)” which had 80 participants.

Labrynth

Among the 33 Labrynth decks that topped in Week #1 and #2, 15 are running the Standard Furniture build, 15 are running the Unchained Furniture build, and 1 of each are running Dogmatika Furniture build, Resonator Furniture build, Sinful Spoils Furniture build. The Standard Furniture build and the Unchained Furniture build are the two best performing Labrynth builds.

Previously Arias the Labrynth Butler is mostly ran in the Unchained build as they could make use of Arias the Labrynth Butler to Link Summon Unchained Soul Lord of Yama.

But with the release of Destructive Daruma Karma Cannon, the Standard Labrynth build also started running Arias the Labrynth Butler in the Main Deck. As Synchro, Xyz and Link Summon could only be performed using face-up monsters as materials, Destructive Daruma Karma Cannon could disrupt the opponent from performing Synchro, Xyz or Link Summons by turning their monsters face-down. In this sense Destructive Daruma Karma Cannon plays a similar function as Dimensional Barrier, but with the added advantage of stopping Link Summon.

Shakeneru (しゃけねる) went 5-1-1 and finished 1st in “24th Lotus Cup 3v3 Team Tournament with GIRAFULL” which had 20 teams (60 participants).

Latiao (辣条) finished 3 – 4th in “Liuwuzhimen Cards Weekly Tournament” which had 98 participants.

Purrely

Purrely was weakened by the OCG 2023.10 Limit Regulation with Purrely Delicious Memory becoming Semi-Limited, but remains as a top contender in the new OCG 2023.10 format. Purrely build remains the same. The prevalence of Labrynth and Runick resulted in Red Reboot moving to the Main Deck.

On 7 October, Raito (ライト) went 5-1-1 and finished 1st in “33rd Oguibento CS 5th Anniversary Event 3v3 Team Tournament in Aomori” which had 17 teams (51 participants). On 8 October, he went 5-1 and finished 1st in “34th Oguibento CS 5th Anniversary Event 3v3 Team Tournament in Aomori” which had 15 teams (45 participants).

Magician

Magician was strengthened by the OCG 2023.10 Limit Regulation with Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm when from Limited to Semi-Limited, and has moved up as a top contender.

Supreme King Magician is now the standard Magician build, all 23 Magician decks that topped in Week #1 and #2 are running the Supreme King package. To go against Supreme King Magician, players are running Droll & Lock Bird in the Side Deck.

Inakingu (いなきんぐ) went 7-1 and finished 2nd in “29th RAM Cup Individual Tournament (Omori Venue)” which had 80 participants.

Runick

Runick has a good match-up against Rescue-ACE, since Rescue-ACE effects are mainly against Monsters and have difficulty against Spells/Traps. As Rescue-ACE could use CONTAIN! or EXTINGUISH! to clear Amano-Iwato, some Runick builds have cut Amano-Iwato from the Main Deck and opting to run Torrential Tribute instead.

To go against Runick, players are running Cosmic Cyclone or Unending Nightmare in the Side Deck. Cosmic Cyclone and Unending Nightmare could also be used against Purrely, Magician and Centur-Ion.

Jesel (ジェセル) went 5-1 and finished 1st in “8th Suji CS 3v3 Team Tournament” which had 17 teams (51 participants).

Conclusion

Rescue-ACE, Labrynth, Purrely, Magician and Runick takes the lead at the start of the OCG 2023.10 format.

The biggest impact of the OCG 2023.10 Limit Regulation is the heavy blow to Tearlaments, causing Tearlaments to finally fall off from the peak of the competitive scene.
