Yu-Gi-Oh! Challenger Cup 2025 Hong Kong was held on 25 May 2025 and had 146 participants (130 open entry + 16 seeded).
Format:
- Asia English
- 6 rounds of Swiss, Top 16 players advance to playoffs
- 16 players from Swiss and 16 seeded players play off in Top 32 Single-Elimination
- Champion is invited to the Asia World Championship Qualifier 2025

I always find it ridiculous that Asian English has their own banlist seperated from the OCG but has to follow OCG banlist in international tournaments. Couldn’t they just like, release cards in multiple languages all at once? I guess this applies to the TCG too but at least TCG players could ignore OCG banlist completely outside of Worlds which only a handful of players qualify anyways.
