Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions 4.23 Roadshow
The recent Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions 4.23 roadshow at the Shinjuku train station has an impressive 7649 unique cards on display, featuring almost every OCG card that was printed from 4 February 1999 to 22 April 2016.
This article will showcase some of the rarest Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG cards that you might want to look out for, if you have the chance to visit this spectacular roadshow.
Kanan the Swordmistress
This Ultra Rare Kanan the Swordmistress was given out to the participants and spectators of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters National Championship that was held on 21 February 1999.
There were around 400 copies given out.
This card currently goes for ¥138,000.
Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon
This Secret Rare Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon was the 1st prize for the winners of the Duelist Legend in TOKYO DOME tournament that was held on 26 August 1999.
Only 2 copies were given out to the OCG tournament champion and to the Game Boy “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark Duel Stories” tournament champion.
A copy of this Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon was sold for ¥1,200,000 on Yahoo! Auction in 2012, making this one of the most expensive tournament-legal Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG card.
However, the one on display is unlikely to be one of the two copies that was given out back in 1999, but rather a prototype test print that Konami has been keeping.
Meteor B. Dragon
This Ultra Rare Meteor B. Dragon was the 2nd prize for the winners of the Duelist Legend in TOKYO DOME tournament that was held on 26 August 1999.
Only 4 copies were given out to the OCG tournament champion and 1st runner-up and to the Game Boy “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark Duel Stories” tournament champion and 1st runner-up.
Similar to the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, this is likely a prototype test print that Konami has been keeping.
Dark Magician Girl
This Secret Rare Dark Magician Girl was given to the top players of the Game Boy “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters III: Tri-Holy God Advent” Street Duel Legend of Power tournaments held from 25 July 2000 to 27 August 2000. There were 300 copies distributed.
Another 100 copies were distributed in a lottery ran by Weekly Jump and V Jump.
