Snake-Eye

Retaliating “C” is one of the common counters to Azamina. When the opponent activates Sacred Azamina, you can chained with Retaliating “C”. Resolving the Chain, Retaliating “C” is Special Summoned from hand, and it would cause any card sent to the graveyard to be banished instead. Sacred Azamina would then resolve by sending “Sinful Spoils” card from field to the graveyard, but due to Retaliating “C” effect, the “Sinful Spoils” card would be banished instead. Since no “Sinful Spoils” cards were sent to the graveyard, Sacred Azamina effect would stop here and the next part which performs the Special Summon of the Azamina Fusion Monster would not be applied.

Powersink Stone is a Continuous Trap that has an effect similar to Skill Drain. Each time a monster effect is activated, 1 Spellstone Counter is placed on Powersink Stone. While Powersink Stone has 2 Spellstone Counters, neither player can activate the effects of face-up monsters on the field, also the effects of face-up monsters on the field are negated. A simple play such as Normal Summoning Snake-Eye Ash and activating its effect to add Snake-Eyes Poplar, and then activating Snake-Eyes Poplar effect to Special Summon itself from hand would accumulate 2 Spellstone Counters on Powersink Stone. This results in Snake-Eyes Poplar being unable to activate its ② effect upon being Special Summoned.

The Spellstone Counter is placed on Powersink Stone immediately after the activated monster effect finishes resolving. If only the Monster Effect is negated but not the activation, then the Spellstone Counter would still be placed on Powersink Stone. Some examples of cards that negate effects are Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Fiendsmith’s Desirae and Azamina Rhea Silvera.

Frannick Nezmar Octo went 10-1-1 and finished 3 – 4th in “Duel Spirits 2024” which had 188 participants.

Tenpai Dragon

Some Tenpai Dragon has started running Red Reboot in the Main Deck. Red Reboot is useful against Dominus Impulse in the Tenpai Dragon mirror match, as well as against Summon Limit, Skill Drain, There Can Be Only One which Snake-Eye and Voiceless Voice are running in the Main Deck.

SHO went 5-0 and finished 1st in “Yu-Gi-Oh! Area Championship 2024 Fukuoka” which had 61 teams (183 participants).

Conclusion

Snake-Eye and Tenpai Dragon remains the top dog of the format.

Seems like the meta reports are a few weeks late. Kaizshiro YGO on yt also provides reports for locals in the OCG on a weekly basis with lists if anyone needs a new source to reference.
