Dinosaur

The standard ratio for Yang Zing monsters in a True King Yang Zing Dinosaur deck is typically 2 Suanni, Fire of the Yang Zing, 1 Bi’an, Earth of the Yang Zing and 1 Chiwen, Light of the Yang Zing.

Some players have been testing with cutting 1 Suanni to make space for the 2nd Chiwen. Having the 2nd Chiwen opens up the potential to perform more Synchro Summon plays even after the 1st Chiwen has been used up for the Denglong opening play involving Nine Pillars of Yang Zing into Herald of the Arc Light.

Denglong and Babycerasaurus or Petiteranodon could be used to Synchro Summon Yazi, Evil of the Yang Zing. As Denglong leaves the field, its trigger effect could Special Summon Chiwen from the deck, which would then be used with Yazi to Synchro Summon Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing. When Baxia is successfully Synchro Summoned, its trigger effect could shuffle 2 cards back into the deck.

Following that, Baxia’s ignition effect could be activated to revive Chiwen, and together they could be used to Synchro Summon Cloudcastle, opening up the possibility for a Rank 9 monster play.

True Draco

Running 3 copies of Skill Drain in the Main Deck has been working really well for Demise True Draco and it seems to be the new standard for the deck.

ABC

Zombie World is still strong in the current metagame, but it is much less impactful as decks are now prepared and tuned against it. Both True King Yang Zing Dinosaur and Demise True Draco are now running Cosmic Cyclone in their Main Deck.

Conclusion

Dinosaur had a much smaller lead this week, as True Draco bounced back up, and ABC maintained its position.

that’s awesome guys, always good information, and excuse me, can you explain me what’s a “mono” ABC deck? .. i still wanna know what’s the consistence and why that name, thanks again!

    • Akira says:

      mono-
      1. One; alone; single.

“Mono” is for defining builds that runs only a single theme. Colloquially labelled as “Pure”.

I really appreciate the Metagame reports.
Could you answer me two things?
    1) What is the role of Back to the Front in the Dinos?
    2) Why are not there more Star Grail players?

    Thank you very much.

    • Akira says:
      1. Back to the Front is mainly to revive Denglong during the opponent’s turn to open up possible Synchro Summon plays such as Baxia. You could also revive Herald of the Arc Light to go into a third negation, or Souleating Oviraptor to search for a Dinosaur. Back to the Front is simply a very flexible card.

      2. World Chalice’s best opening play is Firewall Dragon. That is quite underwhelming when compared with Dinosaur’s Nine Pillars of Yang Zing into Herald of the Arc Light, True Draco’s Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King or even ABC’s ABC-Dragon Buster.

hopefully this isn’t too old to get a reply, what is the card between dragons ravine and zombie world? Many thanks
